Probably my best con sketch ever here.  An 11x17 Puck by Art Baltazar:

I'm just seeing this Pham piece, Jason -- how did this happen?

That's out of this WORLD!

Thanks, John!  Sorry that you didn't see it in person.  I honestly did not have my portfolio on me most of the weekend.  It was kind of odd not carrying something around at a con.

Jason, Puck is, without a doubt, my favorite piece in your impressive collection!

Last one from Detroit Fanfare.  I was very excited to meet James O'Barr and came away with this cover preliminary for a foreign edition of the trade paperback.  Calling it a prelim really does it no justice:

One more before bed!  Bart Simpson by Sergio Aragones!  I love these little doodles he does.  He added some "spray" to the can on the cover too.

Interesting to compare Sergio's Bart to Morrison's I posted above.

At this year's Mid-Ohio-Con I discovered Katie Cook!  She's someone who could be getting lots of money from me in the future....here's her take on Spider-Man and Man-Thing:

...and Darkseid:

I'm a big fan of Katie's too.  First saw her stuff at a Chicago con, and then found out she lives a few miles away from me. And even though we apparently frequent a lot of the same restaurants, we've never run into each other.

I have a big stack of drawings that she's done for me at different cons. Great stuff with a lot of style and whimsy.

Joe Hollon -

That's a nice O'Barr piece and I must say, I've seen other con sketches he's done and I really give him credit for, as far as I've seen, putting 100% into these things.  A friend of mine got one a while back and it's a really striking image, especially when you see it in person.

I loved the Brandon Lee Crow movie but I've never really been a huge follower of O'Barr's comic books.  I say this only to punctuate how impressed I've been whenever one of his sketches crosses my path.

Been waiting a year to have Chris Sprouse illustrate Captain America for me at Mid-Ohio Con - wasn't disappointed!
