Beauty, eh?That's a MiG with the red nose. The configuration is so similar to the Sabre I opted for "diversity"!

Looking at the suspended planes led me to a 'DOH!' moment, when my eye and brain communicated and spat out 'Ah, the Liberty Bell capsule' by Betty Boop's head. Then sense resumed and I realised it was the desk lamp!

Ahh...the Sabre's flipside! I see the markings now that I've pulled the frame out a bit.
Just saw a neat little MiG perform at Selfridge a week or so ago.
I love how 'hot' the nozzle ends look on the Korea/Vietnam era jets. They always look like they are on full burner.

"I forgot I had that!" was very much the general theme when I moved to this house a dozen years ago. The old house was almost 2000 square feet bigger, and tho the windows were large, the light did not fill every corner, as it does here. Lots of surprises whilst packing!

Have to say, I love seeing that Thunderbird 2 on the shelf-- I have one much like it next to my bed.

Nice to see a Gee-Bee in your airshow, JB.
I was lucky enough this Summer to have seen my very first TBF Avenger in flight:
