Now that is one mighty fine Batman. Congrats to Ari.

Weird, that Colan/Sinnott piece gave me a sudden urge to howl to the moon!  That´s some pretty strong art to have this kinda effect.

 | Hey, I like that Dark Phoenix, Daniel.  Is it as vivid in person as the scan makes it out to be?  Not the classic outfit for her, but not a stretch either.   I like that it could appear totally different from panel to panel based on this pages. |

I just ordered the Fred Hembeck cover recreation of Showcase #4 (Silver Age Flash).  This will be the first original artwork I get.  I ordered a commision in Feb. that I am still waiting for from another artist- thats painfull- but hopefully it comes someday.

 | Just got this in the mail from Joe Rubinstien today.  It's the unpublished cover to Daredevil #200.  Penciled by Luke McDonnell 24 years ago, it had never been inked.  It's a pretty cool cover.  Too bad some other bum got the cover gig.   (Just kidding JB!)   fyi...if you want to see the b4 and after: http://cafurl.com?i=6462

Interesting, Craig. Especially that it has black background while the published version was all white. A really nice cover, but John and Terry's one remains one of my favorite covers of all time.

 | Eelco, great collection, man. I wonder, what's wrong with the Mastermind pages. Did Terry use standard narkers on those? They sure seem to have faded quite a bit. |

Nice page Eelco.  I waited how many years for you to find a nice Byrne Doom page for me?  I see you keep all the good pages for yourself. :).  Not that I blame you, I would too.  Anyway, I love my Doom commission and I'm happy to have filled that void in my collection.

Fred was doing a strip for CBG, and in one he "interviewed" Spider-Man about the various artists who had drawn him. The last two panels of the page were those seen above. I wrote to Fred and asked if he would sell me the page. He politely declined, saying he did not sell his artwork (times change!), but did the recreation, above, as a freebie, instead.
