I don't want to drift this thread far, but I would have loved to seen artwork by JB and one of the Brothers Buscema.

I think the cover of Incredible Hulk Annual #14 was pencilled by Sal and inked by JB.

Simonson over Byrne is interesting but, for me, Walt's inks are too overpowering.••• But they were just what I wanted for that issue! ==== Back to this - JB, how did it come about that you wrote/brokedown this issue, with Walt finishing it? Heck, the Magneto/Doom story you penciled and inked in the back really surprised me.

A couple of "spontaneous" jobs that left too little impression for me to remember how they came about.

Still, it was such a pleasant surprise. And I didn't mind how strong Walt was on this - he'd only just left X-FACTOR but never inked the interiors, so it became a nice sendoff for him. Since it was more "his" book than yours, it seemed appropriate that the art reflected that.
When I was a kid, I suspected that you started the issue right in the action to avoid having to draw Archangel. I was really bummed because I wanted to see that after reading the solicit ahead of time!

Let's turn this topic around! Has JB ever inked (or where has he inked) the following:
Neal Adams Jack Kirby Frank Miller Walt Simonson
I know he's inked Steve Ditko a few times (ROM #74, AVENGERS ANNUAL #13, CHARLTON BULLSEYE #1&2). I really enjoyed the final issue of CHAMPIONS where he inked George Tuska! Any other surprising pairings out there?

JB did a great job inking a Kirby Spider-Man drawing and I think JB inked one panel in a Walter Simonson drawn comic.

How about MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE 43’s cover? Was that a Byrne/Simonson or a Simonson/Byrne?
