Namor's arrogant jerkiness is part of his charm. You just can't decide if he's a good guy or a bad one. Totally in character.

Jean's face in that lower-left panel too -- the eyes! It is so...je ne cest qua!

 Masterful.

I also like that they are having a hard time swallowing it.  Makes their characterization more believable.

In the 5th panel, that's one of the most beautiful renderings of Jean's face I've ever seen.

Have Colossus and the Sub-Mariner ever fought? If so, how long did it take Peter to recover from the trouncing Namor gave him?

I love how much of Namor's personality JB conveys just by drawing his posture, or his eyes, or the set of his jaw.

 | •• Thanks! It's one of the things that makes the character so much fun to draw.

My delight on today's page is in the first panel, with Namor in that "Namor" pose. Just like 'most every time you've drawn him. Consistent as the North Star, and sweet as a delicate dessert. I take such pleasure in the way you draw the characters in their classic styles every time.

And yeah, Namor is a prat again. But really, I thought the cameo was neat; I don't remember any interaction between Namor and the X-Men specifically since X-Men #6. What, he WAS an X-Man for a while? How likely does THAT seem? |

Ha. Namor is butthurt because Jean tossed his ass out of the water like a chump!

Nice to see a Jean-aged Jean - for however long she plans to hang around...

I hope Beast sticks around for a bit - he'd be one of the few members that has a ton of real Jean experience, but also fought for Phoenix on the Moon.

To forestall disappointment, Hank isn’t, strictly speaking, “around”. He’s present in his capacity as an Avenger, not as an erstwhile X-Man.

Beast and Nightcrawler on the same team at the same time might seem a bit much.

 | 1) This "book" continues to get better! Thanks! 2) Did you always plan for Namor to find Jean the way he "found" Captain America or did the story take you there?  |
