Sounds like Chris applying the “because I said so” approach. Happily, this no longer concerns me!

I was going to suggest iron content in his metal could counter some magic, but then there is that organic metal thing....Maybe Colossus has some iron content, but by that logic, so do I. I like steak and magic has not affected me in some time.

I prefer that the guy who can turn into an organic metal form is just really strong and tough.

That was what he was going for, that magic had a
weakness to iron. But I don't think Marvel was all
that consistent with that rule.

I always felt Colossus' steel had to be unique in some
way, stronger than normal steel, but not as strong as
vibranium. Maybe close since he withstood Havok's full
blast along with several other examples that would
have destroyed normal steel.

Well I suppose that Claremont based Colossus' resistance to magic because his body is made of organic steel, basically iron with some carbon and iron is considered anathema to magic.
Effectively Wolverine's claws can cut Colossus' metal as seen in UXM #166 and Colossus doesn't bleed in armored form when he extracts the claw and also seen in UXM #179 when he starts to bleed only when returning to human form.
In his transformed state, Colossus has no heartbeat (UXM #212), so no pumping blood because he doesn't need it to transport oxygen (he doesn't need to breathe as seen in UXM #145, #147 and #150). It seems his circulatory system becomes some kind of energy system, so he bleeds/loses some kind of energy (also UXM #212). Other questions that may arose are: Does he still need to eat or water in armored form? Could he be "immortal"/not age in armored form?

I think I prefer the explanation that Colossus changed from flesh and blood into organic steel, but had to still breathe, eat, sleep, and wasn't immune to magic. And that we just say that the idiot who said the IS immune is ignored henceforth.

Wasn’t his not needing to breathe established in #97 or 98? When Lang kidnapped them and took them to his space station? He was on the cover even.

So JB, how’s the back log of stories in your head doing? In a situation like this do the ideas you have just trigger other ideas like a cascade effect?

Sorry if this has been answered in the thread already...

Are there plans for Caliban in this "series"?
