Idle questions about a hypothetical project:

If there were to be a reprint of Phoenix: Untold Story, would there be any changes for the benefit of the following series?

I'm specifically curious if there's a chance of JB would do art to replace the pasted in Gladiator?

I'm also curious if the hypothetical series might have lettering by Tom Orzechowski?

Thanks to any sooth-sayers with fore-knowledge of the hypothetical situation.

Hmmm.. I just realized this potential X-Men series could be the place for John to finally tell that "missing" Silver Surfer/Dark Phoenix story

Great pacing on that page and I admire the drama of that last panel. You are a great exponent of capturing the perfect moment that invites us to see in our head what must have come before and after. The way you have captured it creates the illusion of movement and the stepping down the stairs, as opposed to a more static pose of both feet planted.

Must confess, I never liked the Shiar or Lillandra or the Imperial Guard.

But on a similar topic, did you have any input into the Corsair / Cyclops history?

Did you have any plans for the Starjammers or Corsair at any point?

Neither did I.

••

None. In fact, I would have blocked it, if I'd had the power.

Chris, at least in those days, had a bad habit of not allowing anyone to be ordinary. Scott, for instance, who had a pretty straightforward origin, as such things go, had to have a father who was a space pirate. Really? Ugh!!

Orphan boy who develops a devastating power is superior in my book to boy with absent space pirate father who develops a devastating power.

JB, how do you feel about the origin aspect of Scott banging his head in the parachute fall as an explanation of his lack of control over his optic blasts?

Plus, wasn't that "space pirate dad" scenario already covered in Star-Lord?
