As with most things on ebay, the real bidding does not happen until the last few minutes.

I try to buy most of my Bowen busts through my LCS when they are released, but they do not stock one of everything.  So, there are times I miss out on one.

I have also found hitting some of the comic conventions a good place to get busts at a discounted price.  Best of luck in finding what you are looking for!

I tend to just look at "completed auctions" for the same item on eBay -- that gives me a good idea of what the market is asking for the item at the time AND how often pieces are available if I miss out.

I wanted to publicly thank Brian again for the lovely Darkseid figure, which arrived this weekend.  Wow, what a thing of beauty.  Do action figures even come with cloth capes anymore?

Just arrived from Midtown Comics.  Number 334/1200 for those keeping score.  I nearly pitched a fit when I opened the box and saw the vastly inferior Shiflett version on the packaging.  I didn't realize they use one version on each side.  Whew.

Randy managed to get me with that on the Wasp. I ordered the modern version, but the packaging opening to reveal the armless "classic" version. Then I turned the box over.

What's the little Marina figure in the b.g., Ryan?

I have a couple of AF figures I built out of some of the original Heroclix back in 2001 or '02.  I'll put photos up tomorrow.  Not great work, but there wasn't a lot of choices for me to chop up and rebuild at the time. I started but never finished making a Northstar, since the one that was issued had some funky costume on.

I love me my HeroClix Galactus, but the rest never quite gelled for me. I appreciate the skill that goes into sculpting something that small, but, well, like I said, the Clix didn't quite click.
