I think the difference is that since Ross is known as an illustrator, the initial expectation is that a statue bearing his name would resemble his art. If JB designed a Batman statue from scratch, but did it in the Bruce Timm style, I think it would be misleading to solicit it as a John Byrne Batman statue.

Back to Alex Ross, where did anyone say anything about not crediting the inspiration, ( as stated above Alex openly admits his inspiration)…

••

The only credits on the boxes are Ross and the sculptor. Because those are the names that sell, and the names that have been paid for.

If I could get only one, it would be the "original action" leaping pose with the original mask.

look on bowens site http://www.bowendesigns.com/sculptures.asp for the pics

and I like the "brown museum pose", but the "ears" of the mask are a little long for me, i prefer the size of the "classic museum pose" mask.

I couldn't decide so I ordered all three.

( I now have 3 months to sell the first born child to pay for em)

Someone may have been looking at my more recent interpretations of our
Mr. Logan.

If I had to pick an upcoming mini-bust to buy, I think I'd go for this one:

Funny thing....

I don't really collect busts, and The Black Knight is not really one of my favorite characters, but I DO like that bust.I may just have to get one.

I may not be able to decide between the two, so I may have to give in this time.
