Kirby always drew Iron Man's early armor (gray and then yellow -- sorry, "gold") with a "skirt." I never understood how that thing was supposed to move with along with the armor's legs. I don't think that Don Heck ever drew the armor with it.

I'm surprised you didn't set up DC Direct Flash and Kid Flash on the Cosmic Treadmill that comes inside with 'em in the box.

Like I say, leaving these things in the boxes makes 'em easier to display.

The Batman pieces, btw, are called "Classic Batman" and were released by Kenner about 10 years ago. One is "Bob Kane" the other, Dick Sprang. Basically the same figure, the "Kane" in darker blue.

I've been trying to track down the "perfect" Batman figure for my meager collections. I only have six early series Marvel Legends figures so far (Surfer, Thor, Hulk, Dr. Strange, Dr. Doom, and Thing) and one DC Direct being one of the early Superman figures. For some reason I can't seem to find a Batman that works for me on all levels.

Is there a particular period that is, for you THE Batman? Most epochs
are represented, and (given that this is DC) usually represented very well.

That's part of the problem. I like some of the things about the HUSH figure...but it's a tad too bulky. I think the Golden and Silver Age Batman figures are neat, but I'd like a figure that's a bit more "modern." My favorite Batman outfit is the traditional black/dark blue and gray without the yellow oval (just the black bay). If I had a choice, I'd like a Batman figure similar to Neal Adam's and Jim Aparo's versions. Any suggestions?

Scowering DCDirect for my ideal Batman, I came across this Wonder Woman figure:

Perfect as far as I'm concerned. Fantastic figure. (ahem)

WW is another one I've had trouble finding to my liking. I'll be picking this one up.

Not to take over the thread with my plight, but after taking a long look at the Jim Lee HUSH Batman, it's looking like the front runner. On second evaluation it's not nearly as bulky as I first thought.

There is a Neal Adams Batman in the pipeline, from the Batman
Black and White collection. Also, while I am bored to tears with ^^*****
and DC slapping Alex Ross's name on anything and everything, whether it
looks like he drew it or not, I did pick up this rather nice Batman from the
same collection.

That is a nice Batman. The ONLY thing that I don't like about it is that you can see Batman's eyes.

I went ahead and got the HUSH Batman since it had a nice mix of modern and classic touches to it. The fact that it wasn't as bulky as I first thought sealed the deal.

I also went ahead and got the Hulk vs Leader set--classic Leader, that is. Thanks for the heads up on that one guys.

Two dots of white paint took care of that on the one I bought!

I can't get past the redesigned belt/girdle. With the chest emblem as it is
currently rendered, Diana must stab herself rather badly in the stomach
every time she bends forward.

JB,

The Beast I saw at my LCS (packaged with an Apocalypse) had fuzz on him
similar to what was used on the Moss Man (I think that's what it was called)
from the old Masters of the Universe line. Had Beast been by himself or with
another figure I would have bought it.
