These inking attempts are proving instructional for me, too. Especially when I compare them to those DOOM PATROL pencils. Going to try some random continuity with tighter linework.

Strike one for me. Going to go stare at other work a bit more and take another swing later.

How long would a professional inker take to ink a page like these?

Depends on the inker.See, there are different approaches, some of which involve the credited inker bent over the page for two or three hours, some of which involve flocks of UNcredited assistants. From my own experience, a page like one of these would take about two hours.

JB-
I right clicked a 72 dpi contrasty IPhone picture, “squared it” with Photoshop, turned it blue, and enlarged it to 10x15”, yes, but, there’s no doubt I can’t “see” everything. It wasn’t meant for inking, but, that didn’t stop me. The photo I upped of my ink job is all digitized from Instagramming it, too.... The pencil scans of the DOOM PATROL are like heaven!

There's no law against keeping a small b&w printout to one side as you ink.

Thank you, Philippe, by the way. Although, I think Romita’s Raiders would have had to do some touch up work on mine! I saw Didier’s version last night on Facebook, and I really like it. I am going to be working on pages two and three this weekend, but for right now, I am busy painting a sidewalk into a 400 foot pizza! #Delicious

Woohoo! This is the most fun since the “We’re A Little Upset At Nelson’s Inks” on the ACTION run.

Hey, it's fun to see the different "styles" of inking here!
I'm going to give it a go.
