I'm loving what I'm seeing of the X-Men-Sauron pages.

I was looking over the old Unused X-Men Plots thread, and the plot-list is pretty much useless, much of the plots did appear in the X-Men book. The Cyclops Robot reference leaves me cold and I have no real desire to see it.

However there were other plot-lines touched on in the thread that, I think, would be great to see in a possible X-MEN ELSEWHEN fantasy comic.

I'd love to see..   (YMMV)

The Mariko-Sabertooth story (with possible J.B. Wolverine origin thrown in)

Project Wideawake

Intro of Caliban

JB- I gotta disagree with the 'pages look dead'
comment!

The one I inked of that first page was so alive, a
comic fan I DO NOT KNOW from two towns over contacted
me online and asked to see it...He eventually came to
my workplace and I let him have it. (Free)

He and his wife stared at it for almost an hour before
they left.

We were dreaming of how the two figures would BLARE off
the page when colored.

Are we sometimes our own worst critics?

Amazing quality in these pages, JB. Thanks once again, for sharing them with us.

Also showcases the story-telling quality of your art. No words, but we can still follow the unfolding tale.

Poor Wolverine!

Awesome page three!!  As a fan of your Cyclops, it’s a real treat.

Thanks so much for sharing these with us, JB - seeing these three characters though your pencil is like seeing old friends. These all came at a great time for me as I was just visiting Boston over the last week, the city where I got back into comic books after quitting in middle school.  I had the Dark Phoenix trade on my bookshelf in college, and some fellow students noticed it and directed me to Newbury Comics, where I was able to start reading in time for AVENGERS WEST COAST and NEXT MEN,

" No words,..."

...

I'm sure JB would have had the panel layouts set to fit captions or word balloons if he wanted. But yeah, I'm with you Peter no need. The occasional sound effect is perfect.

There IS space for copy. It's all about leading the eye around the page.
