Brian, "Thanks" man. "Power" and "Majesty" were two of my thoughts for drawing Guardian. However It rapidly became apparant that there were going to be more Guardians done, so I thought I had chosen a character that no-one else would do...I was wrong anyway as it turns out-LOL.

Felipe, the hooded headshot, sixth down, is a great study on the draping effect. A gem amongst so many other great pieces.

Felipe, that hooded head is just freakin' awesome! The draping effect with the hood looks so real, I could feel it.

Here is spiderman in his black costume.  I did not draw the spider symbol because I chickened out.

Happy 100 everyone!!!

Vlad - excellent as usual.  You are the master of dark and light.

Darren - Love both sketches.  Your monster guy is not as bad as you think.  Maybe I should can my Guardian?  Make mine small and put it behind someone elses sketch...

Chris - don't be afraid to throw something up here.  everyone has a great nature and if you ask for specific critique, they won't -lie- to you, but everyone will be very helpfull and build up your work to help you improve.

I use reference all the time.  Me or anatomy books, or body building mags or even martial arts mags.  I think copying, for me and maybe for you, is important in learining how to draw.  Neal Adams had an interview (was posted here on the forum) and he recomended it for folk just starting out.  Be careful of -stealing- but if you use your own photo reference, like i try to do as much as possible, you'll be ok.  There are places online that you can get photos also that if you let the photographer know you're using them, they don't mind.

Felipe - there has been only one person that i've ever seen who had -total- command over ball point.  When I was attending School of Visual Arts in Manhattan a guy there had a show of just ball point rederings of firemen in various poses.  He was amazing, and i've never seen anything close to it ever.  You run a very good second to that!  Keep 'em comming.

I wanted to practice drawing fur so here is a puppy.  They do not have to be super heroes do they.  If so, this is Power Pup.

This has a great feel to it.  And don't chicken out again!  Let's see the symbol!  I'm sure you can do it fine!

Like your Raven as well.
