Is it me or is my JB influence not showing thru?
A jam piece? Ask JB. Whats the worse that can happen. We
can always take an existing image and work around it.

A "Jam Picture" takes quite a bit of organisation.

How about a "Sketch" piece...in keeping with the "Topic" ??

You know how you sometimes take a sheet of paper around a Con and get folk to sign it or do a quick sketch untill the page is filled!? Not got one of those myself but seen enough of them online.

No "theme" as such just a sketch of a John Byrne character* Email it to me and I'll "stitch" them all together and post it here.

email: dtaylor7@freenet.co.uk

Can be nothing more than a head sketch. can be a full figure as detailed or as loose as you like. If there are no backgrounds it'll be easier to put them all together at the end. Have "props" for sure but don't go for BG as such.

So any lurkers who'd like to participate, decloak and email me your contribution.

IF John does read this AND contributes that would be pretty groovy, we can have all our with his as the centre piece.

* John Byrne character. We'll define this as a character he has designed, created or handled for -more- than fifty issues. "Yes" you could add together seperate runs using the same character to "make the fifty issues".

Please make sure your sig goes with the image.

's'funny pal, I was thinking that there was more Carlos Pancheo(sp?) in that piece than the normal "dosage" of JB. So I'm pretty pleased that you mentioned it first;-)

If you're beginning to "fade" I'll just have to stop admiring your work so much;-P

Joking buddy.

well MAC that's usually a good sign that your drawing prowess is evolving, and your style is coming into it's own, beyond that of being considered a "JB" clone. great work man.

Darren, seeing as how I'm very deadline oriented, could you set a time -at least for me- when you'd like to have the sketch? W/o deadlines I'm pretty much a flake.

This sounds like a very cool project and something I'd like to be involved in.
I've got a few ideas already ....

MAC - lovin' it dude!

Vlad - you have total command of light and dark.  Great piece.

Darren - I'd like to participate, but I'm wondering if we want it colored maybe I can kick my -talents- in for that.  If not I can struggle with doing a sketch of something.  I'm partial to Guardian as far as JB characters.  I think that would qualify, no?

Suggestion for the 100th page drawing:

Since JB has done this in some of his monumental stories, and some not so monumental, have the artist draw him/her self along with a character/characters of their choice. For instance I'm imaging the body lying across the page on Anthony Castrillo's latest piece above is him and the gun toting vengence seeker is one of the Valiant characters. Just a thought.
