Thanks to Eaglemoss "going back to print" on earlier figures, I got Catwoman today. Also snagged a Brainiac (the Gary Frank redesign from his run on Action with Geoff Johns).

I'm thinking, since I've built a couple Mega Man models by Kotobukiya and have done a tiny bit of painting for those, that I may get rid of the pink spots on Brainiac's armour and come up with my own colour scheme for his black and white suit. I like the character, but the figurine itself is nothing to write home about so if I dabble with it a bit and mess it up, I won't be beside myself for ruining something I really enjoy. On the other hand, if it comes out nice, I can feel a sense of pride. We'll see. |

Doesn't leave you with a glimmer of hope for the rest of the team, either.

Elasti-Girl's outfit looks like the one they were using in the series after JB's, as does the girl in her hand (forget her name, if I knew it).

I picked up the first TPB of the series from the library, but was having trouble following the story so didn't get much further than the second issue or so.
Maybe her powers changed in that series? Dunno, and don't care. |

I don't like this figurine at all. Worst I've seen.

Not really. I certainly don't remember her doing anything like what's happening in that figure. |

I ordered Superboy (Conner Kent) and Animal Man today. At least those look like they're supposed to!

 | Not really. I certainly don't remember her doing anything like what's happening in that figure. •• Alas, it is a common mistake to play Rita as if her powers work like those of Madame Rouge. She doesn't stretch like a rubber band. She gets larger or smaller. She can control her powers to the extend of making PARTS of her body larger or smaller, so she can "throw" her hand after a fleeing bad guy, for instance. But that will NOT look like the Elongated Man or Mister Fantastic. It's a curious mistake, as if the Universe is trying to balance those times when artists mistakenly draw Reed Richards with stretching, articulated limbs.
