I spent a bit of my holiday with paint brush in hand.  Captain America is looking much better.  Dr. Strange has the white streak in his hair.  Black Cat's white hair and fur are actually white now.  Vision's yellow parts are finally yellow, not white with streaks of yellow.  It's good to have a day off that the wife does not.

You know, I was just sitting here, looking at the figurines on the various
shelves, and the whole thing reminds me of those Legion of Super-Heroes
figurines in the Superman Museum in those Silver Age issues of World's
 Finest Comics.

You know, when the DC collection starts, determining an end point may be
tough: there are several "ages" that are quite relevant to the DCU. The Legion
would be quite a few figurines. Toss in the JLA, the JSA, and the Teen
Titans, and you're easily looking at 100+ right there.

Unfortunately, given what has been presented to us as "Classic Marvel" in
some of these figures, I don't have the highest hopes for the DC line. There
will be many I will get, I am sure, but I note, for instance, that the "Special
Edition" Batman is off the Jim Lee style guide, and that it is the most recent
version of Catwoman who's in the first batch.

Which Catwoman would be your choice, JB?

Tough call. I'm fond of the original, in the long dress, but as this cover
shows, there are plenty of choices.

I'm pretty fond of the classic look myself. I dig the Jim Balent version (left of center) a lot, too.
Sure are a lot o' whips on that cover!

The actual and for real origin of the phrase "not enough room to swing a

As far as the DC Figurines are concerned, I'm probably going to limit myself more so than I do with the Marvel Figurines.  I'm much more of a Marvel guy myself, although I certainly like many a DC character.  But you won't see Legion characters in my collection, nor will you see many of the modern Teen Titans with the exception of Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire.  I'll probably stick to the classic lineup for JLA with maybe a few exceptions and about the only 70s DC hero you'll see in my collection is Firestorm (a personal favorite) and Ragman (if they release him as a figurine).  More than likely I'll stick to the Batman family and his rogues, Superman and a few of his villains, and the JLA.

I may limit myself as I do with action figures: Superman and related characters.
Though somehow I doubt I'll be that strong...
