I should probably take the blame for this particular addiction.

Sasquatch and Puck hit the UK this week with news that Sasquatch is 100% RESIN and not lead. I'm not sure where the collection is going with that; it hadn't been announced that there was a materials change coming other than experiments with capes. I still think Sasquatch is at least an inch too short and Puck an inch too tall. With a switch to resin for financial reasons, they easily could have made him the correct height. I know photographs can distort heights, but this... ...ain't this:

Yeah Annihilus looks amazing. Drax is okay but I'd have preferred the original look - this Drax is the one from the Annihilation cosmic event and Drax mini series from a few years back.
As for Sasquatch and Puck...oh! Don't mind the heights being off and love the sculpts but....wow, this change to resin REALLY changes the feel and for some odd reason I don't like that it is lighter and 'sounds' different when touched. I had no idea about this change but I don't think I like it. Some of my favourite figurines so far have been the real heavy ones but Sasquatch weighs nothing! Not happy. Actually just noticed that you can even see a sort of 'join' between the front and back halves - never noticed that before and I guess that's down to the change in materials too. Hmmm, maybe 130 of these things is enough....

I think the most recently announced extension is pretty darn good, but there's a definite end in sight. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to go. I haven't bought any in going on 3 months and I'm being pickier. I'm not sure how the resin will affect how I view the product unless there's a significant drop in price.

I only collect the DC ones, but I like to peek in here to look at the Marvels.
I'm disappointed when I hear about things like resin being used. I pick these figures up not just because of the beautiful way they look, but also because of the way they feel. Given that Bane over in the DC side is hollow, even though he'd still be heavy because of his size Sasquatch seems like he could be made hollow too to cut down on cost, materials, and weight. Look at the size of him! His whole upper body, his legs, his upper arms... all could be hollow. Why use resin?

Yeah, I noticed that Annihilus' wings are resin too. There's no "clunk" of the lead when you tap it against another one. Feels smooth. Bbt I don't mind...they're still very nice.

I have just cancelled my subscription for both the Marvel & DC Figurines. After 200 standard figures and over 20 specials I have simply run out of space.
