This is "le point d'orgue" (the climax) of a great issue and these two vilains never looked so great!
So many reasons to wait eagerly for next issue!
Wolverine's story is one of them.

Curiously, I think my favorite part of this page is Alt-M -- his hand, head, and in particular his face. It seems to be a very tricky angle to get just right, and JB nails it.

For those who might have missed the origin of this bit of “humor”, Shooter complained that a big shot of the villain on the last page “just turns the page into an ad for the next issue.”None of the rest of us could quite understand why that was a problem.

The artistry of today's page is absolutely magnificent! The quasi-industrial Kirby design of both Doom's armor and the robots has never been done better.
I am just stunned at how many different greys and even an almost inky black you are getting with a (lowly) HB pencil. Mastercraft!
(Strong prose too, sets a proper mood!)
