Why do you hate it, Thanos?

I don't like the anatomy, the pose (a classic Marvel pose they somehow screwed up), the face, the hair, the body type, the costume details that are wrong, like the mask, for instance. This is obviously the Cosmic Awareness Starlin version, the mask of which didn't have small triangles on the chicks...

Yes, hit and miss here and there but I'm still happy with it.
I find Modok a bit more disappointing because the legs and arms are too thin!

My introduction to Marvel's Captain Marvel was as drawn by Neal Adams in the Kree/Skrull War storyline, in THE AVENGERS. So that's the "real" Mar-Vell to me. Did not care at all for the long-haired blond version.

Some of you may recall, my "solution", then, was to customize the first Eaglemoss version to look as close to Neal's as I could get.

(That image is a Photoshopped version I posted here back in '07 as a kind of demo of what I was planning.)

My version is back on page 42. Still not too thrilled with the hair, but it stays.

Wednesday blog update!

Vance Astro. Not for me, I don't really care about the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Guess who?  Nope.  Nope.  No, not her either.

It's Moonstone, sans helmet or anything else to help me recognize her.  I'm sure this costume will be history by the time the figure is for sale, so I don't quite get putting her in it.  I like the character from her Avengers appearances back in the 200's.  This piece of generic, no thanks.

Kind of wondering why you'd have wrinkles mid-thigh on what looks like it's supposed to be a skin tight suit.

They both look nice, I liked Moonstone when I read Thunderbolts, but that was a different costume back then.

Vance Astro gets bonus points just for having Cap's shield. That would make anyone look cool.

Is that supposed to br bare skin at her chest? If so, I doubt the sculptor
has ever seen real boobs!

Nice Vance. Moonstone speaks to me of conversions -- not sure into whom!

Brad T, I was going to say something similar. Then I realized most of the female figures are like that.
