ROSEMARY'S BABY by Ira Levin; so far, the movie appears to be quite faithful other than a few minor details.

I did not realize ROSEMARY'S BABY; THE STEPFORD WIVES; A KISS BEFORE DYING; and THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL were all written by the same author, let alone the plays DEATHTRAP and CRITIC'S CHOICE (made into a mediocre Bob Hope/Lucille Ball film).

"Damned" by Chuck Palahniuk. "The Breakfast Club" in Hell, literally. I've never read his stuff before but this is fairly entertaining so far.

It's always exciting to get a new book in the mail and then finding yourself mentioned in the acknowledgements.

At the shore and just started Chick Dixon's Levon's Trade fun reading
for vacation and reminds me of those Mack Bolan books that I read in
junior high school.

BALL OF FIRE: THE TUMULTUOUS LIFE AND COMIC ART OF LUCILLE BALL by Stefan Kanfer

I've read quite a few biographies of Lucy; this was not one of the better ones.  Drawn entirely from secondary sources -- I recognized virtually every quote -- and with some surprising factual errors for a life as well documented as Lucy's.  On the plus side, I liked the author's writing style.

As with the Bob Hope biography I read recently, the final chapters are rather depressing; particularly sad to be reminded that Lucy, who accomplished so much and provided entertainment to so many, was so bitter during her final years.

Alternate history wherein Joseph Stalin's family immigrated to the US and he runs for president in 1932 as a Democrat.  It starts at the Democratic National Convention.

I enjoyed ROSEMARY'S BABY by Ira Levin sufficiently that I'm starting another book by that author: THE STEPFORD WIVES.

I've never seen either film version, although I vaguely know what the story is about.

I've been meaning to get to one of Turtledove's alternate histories; most likely RULED BRITANIA!

Working my way through the Uplift series by David Brin. Currently on book two, really like it so far, not sure why I never read these back in the day.
