Brian, I just checked Martin Jensen, a name new to me, out on Amazon, then my local library network. Sounds intriguing--I may sample him.

I'm continuing to work my way through the Daniel Silva series about Mossad agent Gabriel Allon, though the last few I've done as books on tape, or more accurately, books on disc. Finished The Defector, a sequel, really, to the previous book, Moscow Rules. Our hero's wife is kidnapped by the Russian Oligarch he had humiliated in the previous book, and Allon is forced to mount a rescue operation inside Russia. Our hero's willingness to inflict collateral damage makes him more morally ambiguous than he had earlier appeared, imho, altho' the job of a spy is admittedly morally ambiguous to begin with. Then just finished the next book in the series,The Rembrandt Affair, which starts with the famous quote from de Balzac that every great fortune is based on a great crime, in this case, the theft of money and artwork by the Nazis during the Holocaust. I enjoyed this one, and am now going on to the next in the series, #11 of (so far) 13. When I've worked my way through those, I guess Silva goes on my list of authors like Cornwell and Connelly whose next book I simply await.

For more "serious" reading, I'm just about through with Short Stories by Jesus: the Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi, by Amy-Jill Levine. The author, who describes herself as a "Yankee Jewish feminist who teaches in a predominantly Christian divinity school in the buckle of the Bible Belt," reexamines the parables of Jesus, seeking to strip them of acquired meanings imposed by Christian theologians (and in some cases, the gospel authors themselves) and place them in the context of Jewish tradition, explaining how they would strike Jesus's original, Jewish audience. A very interesting book, at least from my perspective.

Now Reading:
Flag in Exile by David Weber
Part of the Honor Harrington series. Wanting to read a compelling book that had star ships and drama like Star Trek yet not part of that franchise...well, anyway, I've read the first few novels and now I want to read all of them.
Also I'm reading a paperback collection of John Byrne's run on She-Hulk. I like his run much better because it doesn't take itself so seriously. Byrne got the character perfectly. I even have his She Hulk Grapic Novel from years back and have re-read them more than a few times.

The scope of my reading's a bit one-note lately. Finished part 1 of a Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin and have now moved on to part 2.

Making my way thru a revisiting of Miller's DAREDEVIL work. I'm up to issue 180. I've got everything except the graphic novel he did with Bill S: LOVE AND WAR. I'm asking for it for Father's Day.

Currently am reading Rob Sanders novel for the Warhammer Fantasy line called "Archaon". It's the first book of the two part series. I'm reading it as background to the Warhammer Fantasy's whole "End of Times" series they recently finished up several months ago since he's the "Main" villain.
Oh yeah, Hi folks. I've been gone awhile. lol.
