I realize this thread is pretty moribund, but I wanted to tip my hat to all the excellent customizers who have graced these pages over the years. There’s definitely some gorgeous work here! For anyone who might be interested, there is still a very active (and very global) community of CMFC customizers and custom-collectors out there, some who were active "back in the day" and many newer converts as well. I won’t post links to websites but anyone who’s interested should feel free to contact me. Personally, the joy I derive from these exquisite little figurines has never waned in the slightest! Here’s a few of my own customs – with respect to this forum I’m including only characters that JB had occasion to draw (and in a couple cases, co-created)! Best wishes to everyone & long live the CMFC!

Nice! I never thought that I'd ever see a Living Eraser figurine!

Wow, those sure beat the hell out of anything I ever did!  My green stuff skills are weak.

No way, Ryan - when I discovered this thread I went all the way through it (weird, I know, but I really love these figurines) and your work is AWESOME!! Your AF crew is spectacular, I like your Northstar & Aurora better than the ones they ultimately released. Talisman is perfect too. Also I love how you fixed Rhino!! Again, far better than the "official" version. Do you have a page or website anywhere with all your customs?

Vinny, thanks so much! I have a great love for C and D-list characters. One customizer I know actually did a Hypno-Hustler custom, complete with guitar. It remains one of the coolest things I've ever seen :-D

To see a breathtaking collection of CMFC figurines with over a hundred customs (mostly the various X-teams over the years but some other groups too), go here.  I can't even tell you how much time I've spent just staring and drooling at this collection.

For what it's worth, I can't figure out if your figurines are done from scratch or are repaints/customizations (especially Blastaar and Living Eraser). So I guess that's a compliment!

Hey thanks! Yeah I try to vary poses as much as possible. I've done some from scratch but mostly they're true customizations. Blastaar was made from the DC Blue Devil figurine (I beefed him up a little) and Eraser is from DC Cosmic Boy (with the arms rearranged). Sometimes I have to search farther afield - for example Death was made from an Eaglemoss Doctor Who figurine.

Those are great. The face on Arcade reminds me of Martin Short.
