Amused to find a couple of rather intense discussions on whether the Scarlet Witch could lift Thor’s hammer. Much back and forth on whether she would be “worthy”.

As I have seen so many times before, tho, this debate overlooks and important element of the inscription on the uru metal: Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy….”

Of course, it’s all rendered moot by the giant (and poorly considered) retcon that made Don Blake a construct created by Odin and the inscription basically a lie.

It's fun to imagine an alternative series featuring THORR that kept Don Blake as the real person.

I don't know, sometimes archeology can be fun? I don't even know if it was a reference to that particular panel, but a THORR did show up during his run (and the hammer stuck around for a bit longer).

Could almost be a variant of Godwin's Law.

As online discussion of Thor continues, the probability of someone contending their favourite character should be able to lift Mjolnir approaches one.
