My first comic was FF #243 "Everyone vs Galactus" - was thrown into the deep end of the pool with the amount of characters, but I understood what was happening and who everyone was by the end of the issue. And being thrown into the deep end was part of the appeal, I think?

Chris Ryall told me about having lunch with the new guy, during which he spoke highly of ELSEWHEN and Chris’ involvement.

I have firmly hit the "I can't make technology work anymore" phase of my life:

Apparently he's also hoping to get an unpublished Frank Miller Walt Simonson project going as well?

Nice.

I’d rather it be the Simonson/ Byrne THOR book, but, hey…

"Just find a cover you like and read it."

That's a nice distillation of how things used to be. I hope this new EiC can shift things back in that direction.

In the FanFic thread I was musing about a writer joking about wanting to revisit NFL SUPERPRO, not really appreciating that it's not just the writing that made ELSEWHEN so appealing. There are very few accomplished writer/artists left in the industry. ELSEWHEN is largely lightning in a bottle.

But Walt Simonson finishing his Frost Giants War on THOR would come very close!

I can't help but note the very specific wording of that
last post, JB. As a fan of of your WRITER/artist runs and
both Fearbook and Whipping Boy...

John Byrne, consulting editor of all mainline Marvel books - probably wouldn't be a fun job?
