More or less difficult than tracking down the Motor City Con fan that suggested Galactus vs Darkseid?

Given the number of times I have mentioned this genesis, I am surprised no one has popped up to say “That was me!!”

Great interview, thank you for gifting it to us!

JB - Regarding the statement about only seeing the giants who influenced you in your work, like Kubert, Adams, Kane, etc, do you compartmentalize that in your mind?  Such as figures are like Kubert, faces like Adams, perspective like Kane, etc?  Or have the influences melted into each other?

Back in art school, I had a Professor who repeated someone else’s quote “If you imitate one artist, you are ‘derivative’.  If you imitate two artists you are influenced’.  If you imitate three artists you are ‘original’.”

Nice interview. Believable is always something I liked
about your stories.

I was sad to read you consider this your swan song. I was
hoping you would start another fanfiction series given
how well-received Elsewhere has been.

Awesome article.  My answer to “What are they seeing?” – I don't really know how to put it in words, but it's a lot more than the sum of your influences, and something that is uniquely you.  When I see something you've done, I get the feeling like an old friend is coming to take me away for a little bit and tell me great story.

I also love that the story is going to end on a cliffhanger.  To me, that's how a comics story should end.  No finality.  The next part of the story is out there, we just have to imagine it ourselves.

OK, I'm really slow on the uptake and I'm starting to
forget things.
I have just realised that Guardians real name is
KALLARK

KAL
CLARK

Brilliant.
How on earth did I miss this?

I used the name, but I considered it rather more precious than brilliant.
