I plan to dedicate the third volume to Chris. First to Len and Dave, second to Archie.

I saw Page 28 before Page 27, and didn't realize you were referring to Mr. Ryall instead of Mr. Claremont.

I am hoping for a foreword in the first volume that shares how X-MEN ELSEWHEN came to be and makes it just a little more difficult for the false information out there to be believed.

Don’t know if I can accomplish the latter, Wallace. Too many times I’ve seen responses that begin “so what you’re saying is…” and then fly off on tangents that have little or nothing to do with the original statement.

Poking around online, it’s really depressing to see how many people simply can’t comprehend that this is not being done through Marvel. That’s over and above those who can’t get what it is!!

This kind of reminds me of the Stan Lee & Jack Kirby Silver Surfer graphic novel which was also not published through Marvel and not part of official Marvel continuity as far as I know.

Historical note: that was a trade paperback, not a graphic novel. As I often point out, “graphic novel” refers to format, not content.

It's been a long time since graphic novels have been produced (thinking about the format other than comics), now they try to enclose everything within the blessed name, whether it's a tpb, a compilation or simply an extra-long story.

And I delight in pointing out that “graphic novels” are….. comic books!
