I began this piece one week ago today, made it to the 3/4 pencil stage, and then was SLAMMED with strep throat.

I was out of commission for three straight days, in bed so zoned out on codein based pain killers I could not focus.

The whole time, though, I could not stop thinking about this drawing.

Upon recuperating, I put off the ink phase for a few days, almost afraid to touch the pencils which seemed a lifetime ago.

Tonight was the night!

It was all worth the wait!
