Let's give this thread one more boost, shall we...

I'd have posted more here earlier, since not a lot of people get to see what I've done over the past few years since the last try.  A change of ISPs and adding a DeviantART.com gallery since then has made me forget that some of us may not really have the time to check everything out without a little preview of the stuff here.

This is an original character (like the one above).  I have all sorts of story concepts floating around in this head of mine.

One more for today...

This one goes back to my "Japanimation" fandom days during the early 1990s.  The character is Priscilla Asagiri, from the Bubblegum Crisis series.  She was a main protagonist, part of a team of powersuit-wearing female vigilantes called the Knight Sabres who opposed rogue androids ("Boomers") and the schemes of a corrupt megacorporation which virutually controlled a rebuilt Tokyo (now called "MegaTokyo," having been salvaged from the ruins following a catastrophic earthquake at the close of the 20th Century).  Basically a Cyberpunk adventure with all the trappings of the genre.

Cool stuff Carmen!

I'm stoked! I thought I'd lost all the PSD files from my comic I'd worked on last summer for good, but a guy at work fixed my harddrive. So I drew this six months ago but just colored it now! Yay!

Thank you for the comment, JT...

Speaking of computer troubles, I've just gotten my desktop PC back from the shop, where I had to get an emergency format/reinstall done.  I should be back in action this weekend when it comes to doing most of my art scanning and editing.  I was kind of bugged that the Windows 7 on my laptop had to switch to Win7 Basic every time I fired up Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 to do the image editing, and having to hook up to the MFC-6490CW in order to import TWAIN scans there was no fun.

A rule of thumb while using your older PCs is never to set the Windows software to automatic updates when you already have Kapersky anti-virus installed.  Kapersky will practically do the job of stopping any new bugs which could affect older operating systems (my PC has 64-bit Win XP Pro).  Windows Update could end up screwing something up elsewhere while it tries fixing the problems found in one application.

Anyway, I'm liking a lot of what I see in the art here.  Keep 'em coming!
