A quicky in photoshop for a friend...
I drew a sketch in one layer, put in the black lines with the pencil tool on a second layer then used the airbrush to lay in the color on a third layer in multiply setting. I then dumped the first layer and finished it up.

William, awesome paint job! I've wanted to try and use photoshop to get that brushy feeling for awhile now. That's killer.
