I think it's cool that you would draw a character you 'don't love' because he fits the story you want to tell.

Reffering to Madox, whom you mentioned drawing several pages ago.

Looking at the drawer full of ELSEWHEN issues that have accumulated since I began this "project", I was made aware again of the uphill battle I will be fighting with a certain strata of fandom.

I realized, for instance, that despite what I may have said earlier, my first issue is really not the "next issue" after 137. Even allowing that the recap in 138 would have happened as Chris and I originally planned, there is still a lapse of some weeks, or even months, between the showdown on the Moon and my Savage Land story. It's this, as much as anything, that has had me spending the last few days pruning and grafting, cutting pages, shuffling pages, adding pages.

Alas, my circular cliffhanger has been a casualty in all this. The issue now reads in straight chronological order. (Trying to figure how I can reshape that Wolverine/Sauron page and make it the cover.)

Regarding Giles, I tended to appreciate his artistic skills more than the humour of his cartoons.

++++++++++

Sorry for the sacrifice of the circular cliffhanger but happy to finally have a revealed "cover"! Well you can still draw another cover because the actual norm is to have multiple variant covers for the 1st issue.

That is too bad about the circular cliffhanger. It read and flowed really well.

With the mention of Multiple Man above, it reminds me there are several characters from the era that have not been written without Chris' dialog. I am eager to read them.

Hey, here's my random questions of the week:

Do you have complete control of how your pages are colored?  Was there ever a time (or does it happen often) that the colors on the printed page didn't match what you had intended?  And what color do you envision Cyclops' costume to be?  (obviously it has yellow, but I've always thought the rest of it was "Comic Book Black", ala Bruce Wayne's hair)

Coloring is not even in the game, yet.

oh sorry, I wasn't referring to Elsewhen, just in general about how the process works and whether you hold control of how things get colors

The hand truck must be for moving reference books.
