It's amazing how I knew that was Perez before seeing either Ari's text, or any of the figure work. Just the lines on the clouds. Also, though I don't typically dig pouchy-belt Batman, I would gladly push Ari off a bridge for this piece. I mean, it's a Perez Batman!

This week I received two great pieces by John Buscema. One is a recreation of one of his most famous covers, Silver Surfer #1, he recreated this shortly before his death. The other is my 2nd page from the classic "Even An Android Can Cry" story in Avengers #58 by Roy, John and George. My 2nd page from the issue. Thrilled to add another page by the team of John Buscema and George Klein. For me Klein is my favorite inker over Big John.

"For me Klein is my favorite inker over Big John"
I very much liked Klein on Buscema, and the "Even an Android Can Cry" story was a classic. Surprisingly, I never much cared for Klein inking Curt Swan.
My favorite inker for Buscema was big John himself, although I also thought brother Sal, Steve Gan, and Dan Adkins were excellent , sympatheric inkers for Buscema.
Great pick ups--I'm sure I'm not the only one on the Forum feeling the pangs of jealousy . . .

I had been a fan of Scot Eaton's work on Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man and had never gotten ahold of a piece by him, prior to this find. Scot drew this piece and his wife, Claudette, did the inks. Dug the art as soon as I saw it and would enjoy seeing him working on the character again.

I was extremely fortunate in having an art collector reach out to me and offer to sell me 4 pages from Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez's first Jonah Hex work. Weird Western Tales #32 has Jose's skills on full display and the sequential art storytelling is a joy to look at. Thanks to Hart for parting with these pages, after owning them for over 12 years! Page #7
