There is something deeply illogical going on these days. These "action
figures" are not meant to be actually played with, yet the efforts to give
them maximum articulation is making them uglier and uglier, with Marvel
Legends leading the way.
Yuck!

Chad-
You wouldn't have dug that figure if you'd bought the first version. THE WORST production that DC Direct has ever done. maybe only second to the recalled crisis figures, which were only recalled because the first Kingdom Come series was still in our minds...
Bad plastic, bad paint, bad mold marks, bad neck cut, bad bad bad...
And due to Diamonds "no returns unless broken" policy you couldn't do much about it if you pre-ordered the figures.
Oh well. They re-issued them and fixed the problems years later, but that's still a big "screw you" to the folks that bought them the first time around...

I'm gonna agree about the articulation. Thousands of points of articulation make it look like the action figure got handicapped by two goons with lead pipes.

I was wondering what JB thinks about this Sideshow Collectible bust of the Ever-Lovin' One. I can't remember if the one he had was a Sideshow as well, and I liked that one much more. But this one has an appeal as well:

THAT is pretty sweet. Perhaps a bit narrow in the face, but vastly superior
to the pseudo-Sal Buscema being fobbed off as "Alex Ross" that came out a
few years back.
The one I have -- still my favorite -- is by the same guys who did the
appliances for the movies. Basically saying, "Look, we really can do it!"

I love that Thing to pieces.
The one I posted seems to have a Sal Buscema, well, Thing going. From the MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE issues. I was trying to noodle it.

Cool Thing...dig that prognathic vibe missing in the movie versions.
Has anyone in here personally done up a 'Skyrocket' from the Minicraft model of a few years ago? Thinking about tackling one with my son, after seeing a couple done up as Blackhawk birds.

Just saw these full-size statues on the Bowen Designs site. They also had Deathlok and a Storm in white costume (bleh!) I'd better start riding my bike to the store to save up for these two.
