I don't know, I think Neal Adams drew Batman exactly like that, muscles and all. And Neal's style was "comic-book photorealistic", not Alex Ross photorealistic...

"Spyda" (the sculptor of the Neal Adams piece) is Neal Adams' son, I believe (I've seen his stuff posted on The Clubhouse sculptor forums). Not sure if Neal had any input on the piece, but the work-in-progress pics that Spyda posted looked very, VERY good (and the pics you posted look like the WIP pics I've seen).
Lars: Thanks for your kind words -- that is an EXCELLENT Scarecrow figure! VERY nice!

The Neal Adams inspired Batman arrived and looks just fine.
Also, this little lady arrived a few days ago.

Mr. Byrne, I'm surprised to see so many anime based statues making their way into your collection.
Are you a fan of anime or do you just like the figures?

Nice items, J.B.
It looks like Batman's gloves and boots have a glossy finish.
Also, is the Ghost in the Shell piece a statue or figure? I remember hearing
both were coming out. If you haven't already, you should check out the
Ghost in the Shell series that it is based on. Not only is it superior
animation, but a great story.

Not strictly a statue or an "action figure", but I saw an ad in the back of the
latest issue of SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN and, you know, hadda havvit. About 2
feet tall.

That I can even see coming in handy for you JB! I'd certainly be interested in one myself. I'm assuming it doesn't move around like an action figure?
