Are you planning on getting the Mattel Hotwheels Batman Family automobiles? They are only available as exclusives at this year's San Diego Comic Con (grrrrr).

The Batmobile and the Batcycle have been available individually. The Batgirl cycle is new, but I think there's a good chance it'll be released individually as well.

The vehicles are described as all 1/50 scale, but the bikes are relatively large compared to the Batmobile. Was there an episode where Batman, Robin, and Batgirl were turned into giants?

John (Bodin), those JLU customs are top-notch.
(I stuck with customizing animated-style Superman and Batman figures,
and never worked on JLU guys)

Jodi, I think we should start a NEW thread involving
customized figures rather than post a bunch here.
Maybe this weekend I'll take a bunch of Photos and start one up!
Just a quick example...
Scarecrow.
The colours are a bit off, but the closest I could manage.

If people don't want to go the eBay route, Mattel is starting up their online store the Monday after Comic-Con to sell some of their exclusives. There's a good chance you'll see these either there or the Hot Wheels Collectors site.

I just looked at the Neal Adams Batman statue online-- looks great!
Out of curiosity though, why did they paint it black and white? The art this
was based on appeared in color.

That statue series spun out of the Batman: Black and White mini-series and Batman: Black and White backup stories in the Gotham Knights book. The statues were based on art from those stories. With the most recent statues in the line, DC Direct has kept the black and white theme, but used other notable Batman artists who did not necessarily contribute to the Black and White stories.

Anthony, this is part of the Batman Black and White statue series. It is supposed to represent the character as he was portrayed by different artists in the anthology comic series of the same name. There's a dozen or so of them so far all in B & W. Representing such artists as Jim Lee, Adam Kubert, Matt Wagner, Brian Bolland, etc.
This says it's a proof, but the final statue is pretty close to the final as I saw it today. ( I only saw the box, not the actual statue)
I don't care for it much. To my eye, the musculature is over detailed. But I can't imagine how one would accurately interpret Neal's photorealistic style in 3D without sacrificing the "comic book" feel.
I look forward to hearing JB's opinion of the piece when he receives it.
