She-Hulk's acetone bath went really well.  Just a few minutes submerged up to her shins and the paint just flowed right off.  A few more minutes under a toothbrush and toothpick and Jen was nearly paint free.  I've filed & sanded down her gloves and shoes and have started adding quite a bit of hair and her forelock. So far, no disasters.

I did mistakenly tilt the figure upward and a couple drops of the acetone got on the base.  The black coat disappeared immediately but didn't damage the base itself.

The acetone worked so well, a Byrne Vision will definitely be possible.

LOL Thomas... I totally hear you :)

The 6 page listing of comic stores in MD with red ink denoting no, yes, figurine listing is evidence of my personal lead addiction - oh and the script that I wrote out describing what the figurines are in as few words as possible (came in handy after the 3rd time trying to explain them off the cuff)

Ryan, I'm glad to hear that the acetone bath went well... I went out and bought some pine-sol and some small safeway containers that are about the length of a figurine and just a little wider for the "bath". I think I'm going to go the acetone route though since I'm not very patient once an idea strikes...  Can't wait to see what your WIP She-Hulk looks like!

It's a shame these figures are such a motley collection.

Couldn't disagree more.  The hits of this collection far, far, FAR outweigh the occasional (and I do mean occasional) misses.  And the misses aren't even Eaglemoss' fault.  Marvel gets final approval on all character depictions.  Sadly, one of their few misses regards Marvel's decision to showcase the Beast in his current incarnation as opposed to his classic one.  But again, one of a very few misses as far as this collector is concerned.

Totally works for me too.  Personally, I love the paint job on Cap.  Another thing I think Eaglemoss gets seriously right on 99.9% of all these figurines.

Agreed! Aside from small quibbles over things like what's black and what's blue -- and a few brush strokes fixes that! -- the coloring has been spot on from where I sit. There are some color schemes that simply could not be duplicated -- traditional "colors not found in nature", like Iron Fist's black-that-reflects-green -- but I applaud most of the choices.

Richard Franck: Hmm, the list of forecoming figurines seems
interesting !

Quicksilver
Black Widow
Kang
Havok
Falcon

in order to complete my Avengers, I think I will get Quicksilver, Black
Widow and the Falcon, depending of the look of the figurines of course
!

I think this will be the first time I pre-order every solicited figure. Hope
they go with the "classic" Falcon costume, rather than the current one--
which isn't awful, but it's not the one I most closely associate with the
character.

These may not be new, but something to look forward to, methinks…

Except his costume should be blue.

(Sorry. Couldn't resist.)

I picked up Dr. Doom a couple of weeks ago and now Magneto this week. Thinking of doing a villains only collection based on what my LCS has available. I'll only allow myself one figurine per trip, so now the question is Mysterio or Mephisto in two weeks?

Get Mephisto. That way if you don't like your decision, he can just make it so you never went to the LCS.
