I no longer take Alito and Thomas seriously as Justices of the Supreme Court - when Bill Clinton was President the majority-Republican House of Representatives was allowed to go wild with his PRE-presidency Whitewater materials, but no, not Trump! Their dissents show their true colors not as impartial jurists but as Trump cultists.

I just don't know what anyone ever saw in this guy, I could only assume that Apprentice show or the ghost-written Deal book which I've neither seen nor read had something to do with it... or maybe he is the champion of all affluenza cases with massive egos... the stock market being up is like claiming to have caused the sun to rise.
The Republican party needs near wiping out and a new party made from the few people left with it that aren't entirely laughable. I dunno, maybe Jeff Flake would like to come back? Although he only had a bit of spine ultimately, Collins, Murkowski and Romney... so few not totally terrified of him calling them some name on twitter... hard to believe. A girl guide with a limp in reality could probably polish him off in a fair fist fight. Such a puffed up nothing is rarely seen. All-time sucker of the universe award to all who bought in on anything he was behind I would say. Meanwhile if a million died to make him look superficially right or "strong" on some minor thing he would not hesitate to throw them all under the bus. Pull over and toss the driver out now kids!

Ms. Jansen - to be blunt, Trump wasn't a black man (Obama) and he wasn't a woman (Clinton.) That was likely enough to persuade the old guard. Add in people who were confused about Obamacare and afraid of conflicts that happened, and a lot of Republican chaff about "Look what Obama did - in only eight years!" and someone saying he would make America great and he wouldn't confuse them, and he was good ol' folks just as they were, and HE would save them from bureaucracy and confusion, and we could get back to being the good ol' USA - with HIM leading us.
People were too drained and desperate of taking care of themselves. Along came "Uncle Don" who would handle things, and let them get back to whippin' slaves and rapin' wenches... well, who WOULDN'T turn on to that? [/sarcasm off]
We need a lot of changing to just to reverse course to get back to where we were in 2016, let alone to return to a manageable administration. Wish us luck... America needs a lot of it right now.

Okay I thought about this today and I want to know if it makes sense. I've heard people claim this Covid thing is just a hoax. A conspiracy to wreck the economy and hurt Trump's reelection chances. But---haven't the medical and other experts been very upfront with information about how to fight this disease? Isn't it working in other countries? Has anything been secretly hidden from any politician?
Simply put, I see the failure of leadership to be a failure to listen to people who know what they are talking about. A pure rejection of the science. And there's no one else to blame--except Trump and those who followed him on his disastrous path.

Stop trying to talk sense Steven.
When his fan base believe, & will quite happily tell you that it was invented by Bill Gates to get everyone to take a vaccine that will be used to track you, any rational discussion is out the window.
I mean, they will then tell you that it is all a hoax & no one is dying.
So, why are hospital beds packed, where is the controlling vaccine?
Things don’t need to add up for these people, they just listen to Trump & whatever he says will be followed - remember, there are no effects for 99% of those infected. Your President says so, so that must be the truth.

I always laugh when I see the idiots use that conspiracy theory. They fail to realize that the government could easily track anyone because of cellphones....

What makes me laugh is that these idiots think their lives are so special and important that ANY government would be interested in tracking them. OK Mr. Bumpkin, if the government wants to track you, what do they hope to gain?

Ah, but see, here is where it gets really interesting (for them).
It's not the government, it's the system.
Trump is against the system which is why he's good for them.
They are facing persecution like no one has ever seen in the past! Gates represents the system, Trump is going to tear down that system.
These are real conversations I've had by the way.

And the orange one commutes Roger Stone's sentence. Now it's as if he's trying to actively lose the election on purpose.

Nah. We all knew he would and his supporters cheer him for it. This isn’t going to change anyone’s mind about him. It SHOULD but it won’t.

The entire Trump fiasco has shown me that we, the people have given the POTUS way.....WAY too much power as an individual within our government. It’s just that up until now there hasnt been a President so eager...willing and frankly, evil enough to fully exploit those powers the way Trump has.
The feeling of utter dread I get when it occasionally sinks in just how tragically bad a mistake was made by even allowing him anywhere near the White House is overwhelming. I’m just exhausted from his bullshit.
So many people are literally DEAD because of him.
