Thanks Craig! I was channeling Jack Kirby when I was inking that sentinel panel - nice that you noticed!
Excellent work on your page as well. I've had the same experience thinking the quieter page would be quicker to work on but that's so deceiving - sometimes it's even harder!

The natural poses and expressions are a study in brevity of line. Trying to capture the pencil work is a struggle between too much and too little ink.
Here’s another page of heroes in repose.

This page was a fun challenge to ink!

Cool stuff!

I wonder, between you guys and others on the internet, how much of ELSEWHEN has been inked in total?

Matt, I’ve done a few issues, but I’m selective about what I post. Pages with small figures are tough to do because of the low resolution copies posted online so I shy away from those pages. I’m not yet good enough to do those pages in my opinion because of the loss of detail. People also grab the images and use them for their self printed copies. I’ve seen a page I did used as a back cover. One of the reasons I remove the dialogue is to discourage someone printing an entire issue I’ve inked.

Paul, I like how you handled the blood on that page, it shares the movement in the action lines. That choice you made on the maw, making it look like a dark nightmare tunnel works well to convey Logan’s peril.

I tried a different way to portray the background elements. Is it too little?

It's an interesting choice, Craig. I don't know if a simply thin line couldn't do the trick just as effectively though.

Thanks Craig! but I realized a mistake I made - JB drew the monster so the head is like bone and I inked it with a bit too much detail which rendered it more like flesh. I went back and corrected this problem (and re-posted).
The gaping maw darkness was just my inability as an inker - when trying to ink the details on the inside, I couldn't get it right and my lines kept running together until eventually I started filling it in.
