 Here's an homage to Heinrich Kley's famous Racing Snails sktech from the early 20th century.  I was using it as a contour hatching exercise.

 The two main characters: - Ixtli (the child) is based on the Aztec god Ixtlinton who was in charge of healing children - Axy (the axolotl) which in Aztec mythology represented health and rebirth And this image corresponds to a course on thanatology aimed at parents with seriously ill patients |

 I seldomly do that, but I decided to put colors on one of
 the recent sketches I posted. And here is the result. Took
 me quite some times... Those leaves everywhere !
