I've seen some shite as far as bootlegs go, but this is like nothing I've ever seen:
——
That looks to be a genuine Hasbro Marvel Universe Spider-Man figure, so I’m wondering if that is something that has been repackaged, was stolen from the defect pile, or is from an unauthorized factory run.

I start believing that I have finally parted ways with the Tamashi Nations / Bandai "S.H. MonsterArts" line of kaiju figures...
... Then they drag me back in again.

Don't like the fire breath or the articulation, but that face is "my" Godzilla! (KKvsG was my first!)

My hope is that this figure doesn't have the same quality control problems that have plagued this line from the get-go...

Bill -- this is one of the reasons that I haven't bought any of the S.H. Monsterarts figures. (The other -- I don't know where they'd fit in my apartment. Such is life in New York.)
I wanted to get the 1954 Godzilla but the paint job...meh. I hope it gets reissued with slightly different colors (pain the claws, at least!). It happened before with other figures.
I really want to get the 2002 Godzilla but I keep hearing about paint problems with the eyes and teeth. I don't want to end up buying a "lemon."
And trying to get a King Ghidorah figure -- forget it. Way too expensive.

Adam, don't forget that the first production run of the S.H. Monsterarts King Ghidorah had broken wings right out of the box...
