A little nostalgia, This is a 1964 version, so technically after my English days, but still nicely done. Extraordinary detailing. 1/24 scale.

As Flanders & Swann put it...

[singing] It's worth it just to ride inside that twenty foot long by ten foot wide; inside that monarch of the road, observer of the Highway Code; that big six wheeler, scarlet painted, London Transport, diesel engined, 97 horse power omnibus!

Once again, I must ask, how does THIS....

...say "Cyclops"?

Since the guy running around in 'that' bears zero resemblance to the character 'Cyclops' anyway, it doesn't really matter.

And how does THAT....

.....even work? If the visor is now one huge X, does that mean his optic beams shoot out in the form of an X every time?

When I see that outfit I think of X from Dark Horse.

That model of the Routemaster bus is wonderful! One of my local buses when I lived in Streatham in South London was the 159 which was the route on which the final Routemasters ran. They were finally withdrawn from service in December 2005. Not bad for a vehicle that had ceased production in 1968!

Just spent a few minutes clicking thru Batman stuff on Amazon and BOY, the people making the Cesare Romero Joker figures are really determined not to sell me any. Virtually all have mustaches.

sigh

And the Bandai Star Wars model kits finally have an official importer to the USA:

Collection DX Link

It might eventually released over here by Bluefin/Tamashi Nations, but the Bandai Mecha-Colle mini Star Destroyer kit is a real gem for the low price and the amount of detail you get with it. Managed to find 3 of those on my last trip to Tokyo.

EDIT - Adding Link to the official Bandai page for that mini-Star Destroyer kit:

Bandai Link
