That is cool!!! I like the stars being on there instead of just the ship by itself. Well I hope those are stars.

So, that Batgirl "maquette"...A week or so back I ordered the second one shown on Amazon. Same model, different shipper. I figured, if the first one did show up in August I could give it to a friend. Almost immediately received a "shipped" notification, with a tracking number. Checked a couple of times, and was shown it was on its way. Delivery today. Except today I get a notice from Amazon that the "cancellation" of my order has been credited to my account. The piece arrived damaged at the shipper, I'm told. Meanwhile, the Amazon site still shows it shipped and arriving today.

I was sitting on the couch, talking on the phone, today, and Gwynn kept walking back and forth along the edge of the rug, apparently afraid to step on it. Possibly she was reading the black areas as a hole.

In a similar vein (but kinda opposite I guess), JB, I knew a great Dane once, back in another life, that, when presented with a black and white checked tile floor, would only walk on the dark squares!

A local comic store has the Batgirl statue from the previous page in hand. It's priced a little high, but I (unwisely) thought that with some juggling, a little bit of money borrowed from over here, I might be able to afford it.
I asked to see it, and beautiful though it is and larger than I expected, the left eye was painted just off enough that I was able to step back and let it go, thus saving my bank account from yet another hit by my own stupidity. It makes me wonder, though, if it's a paint application issue behind the difficulties in sending this out.

Despite the order being "cancelled" from the other end, and Amazon's site still showing it for delivery on April 3rd, today UPS brought this…Some immediate disappointments. Likeness not all that good. Big base weight five times more than the figure itself. Worst of all, said base is molded or glued in one piece, unlike the Adam West Batman, so I cannot leave off that superfluous vault door.* Some major rearranging of my selves was required. ____________________ * Those with better knowledge of the series can perhaps tell me WHY she's standing in front of a vault at all!!

That's the entrance to her garage, where her Batcycle is stored.

Hm. I remember a section of brick wall that dropped to form a ramp, but I do not recall the vault door.
