Mimbu's not talking about Godzilla. Again!

I can feel the Earth shifting on its axis!

Well... We can't have that happening:

Actually, this is a mini-figure of the Ultraman monster Jirass, which was one of the 1960s Godzilla suits with an added frill and yellow markings... Yeah, it didn't fool anyone, and the Ultraman producers ended up doing the final battle with tongue firmly in cheek.

Found this at the Liberty 8 shop in Akihabara.

Is that a Godzilla Jack-In-A-Box? If so, that would be awesome. He could give his signature scream as he pops out!

I found a ThunderStrike action figure at Walmart.

I have a fondness for the character, due to the artwork of Ron Frenz.

Back in 1987 - 1990, I got  to go to spend several months each summer in Ankara, Turkey.  My father worked for General Dynamics as Project Manager over the Turkish F-16 project.

While there we discovered a shop that made and sold Meerschaum Pipes.  They had many historical and mythical characters carved into the pipes.  I had never seen any Superheroes on the pipes though.  so I asked the shop to get one made of Superman.  Now while Superman is well known around the world, in countries like Turkey, he is considered something just for kids, so the artists that make the pipes are not generally happy to be putting them on to the pipes.  So I paid some extra money, and provided JB's "Man of Steel" series as examples of how I would like it to appear.  What I got doesn't look at all like what I asked for, and they were not willing to do it over. The end result is that I have a one of a kind piece for my collection.

On my old 4s, with its cracked screen, I thought that was Supergirl.
