Aw, nuts... I only just found out that the REAL THING is in Hartford today and tomorrow, for their first ever Comic Con. It's only a half hour away from me, but I don't have the time or money to go and such short notice.

Drat drat drat drat drat!!!!!

Do you have a particular fondness or nostalgia for THE MUNSTERS?

I regret not buying the 'Tooned Up' MUNSTERS maquettes when they were first released; they're ridiculously overpriced on eBay now.

Thanks Stephen, but I've no room to put that. ;)

Then again, I've had the good fortune to have seen (and touched) the actual statue in Hibiya, the suit-size one guarding the Toho Studios Main Gate in Setagaya, AND meet Koichi Kawakita, all in the same day. ;)

:

And you can't top seeing a statue of Godzilla, alongside Haruo Nakajima, the man who played the Big-G from 1954 thru 1975...

Come on, Bill. Who needs furniture when you can have THAT!

In all seriousness, thanks for sharing those photos. That looks like it
was one hell of a day.

Well, I can imagine JB having an iconic Toho Studios legend guarding the front of his house...

Just not sure if Nakajima-san would agree to that... ;)

I don't typically like cutesy superhero stuff, but those are so cute I might make an exception.
