I will say that the face sculpt on that Superman seems at least to be
inspired by JB's version.

Maybe a little. I see a lot of Kevin Nowlan there too.

My son and I just celebrated Birthdays this weekend. We spent the
day putting together the new Hulk Lab Smash and Captain America
vs. Hydra sets from Lego. Well, I built them and he tore them apart.
But, that's what Legos are for. BTW, both sets were $70 total.
Considering the play value they offer, they're great buys and very
cool. I highly recommend them to anyone who's into Legos.

New addition to my collection: Simon Garth. I have been looking for this for quite some time.  I really, really am happy with this.

It meant moving things around a bit, but I HAD to find room for this…

Yes, it's in grey tones, and about 15 inches tall.

The small base is what mostly tipped my decision to get it. So many of these figurines have ridiculously huge bases! I find myself reminded of my Aurora monster kit days. The bases got bigger and bigger, but there must have been a limited allotment of plastic for each kit, as the figures got smaller and smaller. Not the case with these figurines, but several that I have bought in the last few years -- the Red Skull, Ms Marvel, etc -- are standing at the back of the shelf, as I had to leave them off the bases, and they need to lean on the wall!

BTW -- I've done the best I can to search online, without success. Anyone here have news/word on the 1/6th scale 1966 Batmobile we were promised what seems like eons ago?

The Hot Toys '66 Batmobile still hasn't been officially solicited. No ETA for when they'll start preorders, as far as I know.
