With the New 52, I thought I could safely retire from Batman action figure collecting, but then DC Collectibles has to go and do this:

Those are some of the best BTAS figures that I've seen. Is that the only version of Catwoman? I'd hope so, personally, because I never understood the redesign for the final series. (Why was her face blue as Catwoman?) It's one of my favorite versions of Catwoman by far.

That Batman is The New Batman Adventures design, and the Two-Face and Mr. Freeze that are supposed to be revealed at Toy Fair this weekend are going to be The New Batman Adventures designs as well. So I think they are leaving room to do both versions.

I thought Catwoman's chalk skin was a nod to Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman in BATMAN RETURNS.

I have been largely unimpressed with DC's "Bombshells" series, so far, but I did briefly suspend my "no more toys" rule to pick up this one:

Very cute, altho typical of the series so far, the designers have not entirely captured the 1940s vibe -- she has a pierced navel!

Holy Cow! I really like this Doctor Doom. Expensive, but it is over four feet tall.

The Doom JB posted looks surprised.  Doom should never look surprised...

For those YAMATO 2199 fans who were interested the new model kits, but were scared off by the price...

Bandai returns to the past by releasing a new Y2199 version of the classic Yamato mini-kits:

[Y2199 Yamato]

[Y2199 Yukikaze]

Has anyone bought any of these figures? This line is pretty cool.

That full figure Doctor Doom is impressive, if perhaps more ornate than necessary.  But $2000!  Yikes!  It took me days to justify shelling out the $400 for the Sideshow Wonder Woman. (The payment plan helped.  $40 per month is easier to swallow than $400 at once -- even though it works out to be the same.)

Don't care for that Doom. Ridiculously ornate and, as with most sculpts of the good Doctor, the shape of the hood is wrong.
