Agreed. First I've bought, anyway, aside from the wee Eaglemoss version. ************************************** Glad to see that you liked this sculpt enough to buy it. I feel like it's been awhile since we have seen pictures of your statue area as I'm sure there have been many news additions. Love going through this thread and seeing your collection becoming bigger.

Love this Doctor Doom statue. Looks perfect.I agree there' s something about the mask that if it would done differently it could turn out beyond perfect.

It HAS forced me to overlap bases on some -- and in some cases even remove the bases altogether! I am especially "glad" tho, that Eaglemoss ran out of truly "classic" DC characters a lot sooner than it ran out over at Marvel. The DC figurine collection takes up a LOT less space than Marvel's! (Truth to tell, the switch to computer modeling by the boys at Bowen has made many of their latest statues easier to resist, too. There's a certain something "missing" in the increased number of "museum" poses.)

After some hunting around, I found my daughter's old Spider-Man figure. I have the Dr. Octopus as well, but he's missing a couple pieces from his arms. Probably have to Bricklink those.

Has anyone seen this HAL 9000 from Artifactory? Is it worth $500? I'm a big HAL 9000 fan and it's tempting.

(Dave Aikins might get a kick out of this, if he does not have one already) This arrived yesterday from Japan [Link] I don't eat much instant cup ramen these days, but it is certainly an entertaining way to spend 3 sound effects-filled minutes. The "shinderu / dead" Ultraman in the background is the Type C Suit by X-Plus... X-Plus had a bit of a quality control problem with the plastic Color Timer on the figure, so it looked black to the naked eye, instead of a healthy blue... Hence, the help desk at HobbyLink Japan joked that I was the proud owner of a limited-edition "dead" Ultraman...

Bill - that's neat!
Speaking of classic Japanese heroes, it seems Bandai/Tamashii Nations can't get enough of my hard-earned dough...:
S.H. Figuarts 'Space Sheriff Gavan'! Comes with the usual truckload of interchangeable parts (spare posed hands, weapons, etc.), including his signature 'laser blade' in regular, powered-up and mid-slash (above) versions. He also has a second swappable head with 'lit-up' eyes, which is a neat extra.
For Metal Hero addicts, Bandai's also releasing Shaider and Sharivan, as well as the new Gavan 'G-Type', who inherited the mantle in the recent Gavan movie revival. Personally, I'm happy with just the classic, if only because I think Kenji Ohba is just too cool (the 'Gokaiger vs Gavan' movie was pure fanservice of the best kind).
Release date is March, IIRC - just in time for me to recover from the hefty tax bill I've been saddled with (ouch!).

Bill Mimbu - Can you please contact me at sales@statuemarvels.com? I want to ask you about that Ultraman pictorial thread you posted awhile back that I just discovered!
Thanks!
