I like the Balder, but like others have said, not the one I remember. Love the chain-mail on it, looks great. Beautiful sculpt, really. The Toad looks great, except the tongue, which looks like it'll fall off in the box! I think it'd look better with a shorter tongue sticking out instead. Maybe I'll put a little fly on it.

Like I said it just looks like a generic warrior. Nothing says "Balder". Yes, the tongue would make sense IF it's a part of the character and not just a "well the movie has it"

He's based on the art of Olivier Copiel, though I don't know if he designed the look as well.

…Olivier Copiel…•• Sure. I think THOR, that's the first name that springs to mind. Aren't these things supposed to be CLASSIC?

Every so often I contemplate collecting these and their DC counterparts, but the sheer inconsistency of them discourages me. They altenate so wildly between classic costumes and modern redesigns, the thought of putting together a cohesive collection seems discouraging. (And that's not even getting into the variable quality and scale.) I should note that both my wallet and my shelf space are grateful for this inconsistency.

Unfortunately, this one went up for a vote on the figurine forum, and this is the look that won.

It looks more like a Hal Foster artwork inspired character than Baldur.

The superhero figurine forum has heard from EM that a Northstar/Aurora doublepack is confirmed for release in 2011 *** *Sigh* Brad Teschner over in the DC Figurine thread was right... I am doomed.

This must to be a recurrent question (or not!) but "could the Juggernaut move the Blob"?
