One thing I discovered drawing this sequence: put Kurt in a hospital gown and it becomes really hard to show that his tail doesn't come from.....well, where we don't want it to come from! And, no, I didn't drawn the gown open in the back!!

That is a beautiful panel. I am loving this series so, so much! Isn't it *funny* that this is the best X-Men book in decades, and it isn't even being published by Marvel (thank God, because then the inker, colorist and/or editor all would have the chance to ruin it)? I read these as they come out, because I have to, but then go back and reread them as an entire issue. I don't want to sound like a total, out-of-control, fanboy, but this is some of the greatest stuff you've ever done JB. It's on par with OMAC, Next Men, and your FF runs.

There have been some incredible panels in this series.
JB draws the best Phoenix effect, and today's last panel proves that point
