This isn’t professional, and it is FAR from perfect, but it was loads of fun and for a little while today this 53 year-old was a 15 year-old again and for that I’m grateful. Thank you John Byrne for these pages!

It's always fun for me to see how different inkers on the board approach the pencils. Thanks for sharing, guys!

Scott - I had previously inked the page of Kitty falling through the ground and know how tedious the rubble was to ink!

Thank you, Paul! Yes, I think JB is teaching us a lesson- that sometimes you'll have to ink the tedious stuff, like rocks, jungle foliage, etc... LOL

Scott -yes, it's all part of the job! I think the tedious stuff is more satisfying when completed.I gotta look for a new page to ink.

When inking, it’s important to keep in mind that it’s more about the HOW than the WHAT. Sure, superheroes and spaceships and monsters are more fun, but this is where the CRAFT comes into it. Playing with textures, for example, so skin and stone and foliage don’t all look like glass.

JB - what ink pen do you prefer when inking over your pencils? I keep wondering if I should try all of them on one page - technical, quill and brush.

I finally figured out how to remove the blue background pencils and wanted to re-post. I will try a bit of quill & brush on my next page.

I've discovered something while inking this page - I'm not efficient with quill or brush. So I went back to technical pens. I'm more comfortable with those and a bit faster as well.
