Excellent! I really like the use of light (and deep shadow) and the expression on The Spirit's face.

Enjoy your stay up here in the Great White North.  Assume you're heading out West.  I'm in the Toronto area....

Beautiful. Jumps out in 3-d almost.

Demonstrates why one rarely come across this sort of composition: too many objects whose shadows have to be worked out.

And this one could be used as the splash page for a Spirit adventure, too: Just the title and credits missing.

Hope you have a good trip, John.

I like how it's NOT JB drawing as Eisner drawing the Spirit. A problem I have with the book, is it too often is parodying Eisner's style instead of treating as if they writing and drawing actual people.

Excellent Spirit commission - I was reading that "best of " collection last year and really just got into the The Spirit. Great stuff by Will Eisner.

Safe travels, JB!

Perfect character for a master of lighting, folds and drapery, such as yourself.  Eisner MUST be smiling. Yo, DC!  Get this man on a SPIRIT story NOW!

Safe trip, ya ol' hoser!  Enjoy the backbacon!  Have a Moosehead (beer, that is)!  Jeez, 10 whole days with no new commissions, eh?*
